@egray8666 I had surgery for a complete tear of the minimus and a partial tear of the medias tendons 4 years ago. Took a year to get a correct diagnosis. I found the recovery to be long with lots of PT. However, I have not regretted having the surgery as I have been pain free since. I was 80 years old, very active female in very good physical shape when I had the surgery. I hope you have success if you get the surgery.

@columbia86
Was it easy for you to find a surgeon to do the repair? One doctor told me a few months ago that it was not a very successful surgery.

Glad to hear you had a good outcome. I am in constant pain, and have appointment with a new orthopedic surgeon in 2 weeks, hoping he can repair the tear.

@columbia86 I am encouraged by your successful surgery. Will know something on the 22nd of this month if this surgeon will even repair the tear or if he’ll refer me to someone who will. The pain has progressed to all day, especially after sitting for a period of time. I have developed Trandelenburg gait so I’m using a cane to try to correct that. Good luck to you.
