Hi, I just wanted to let you know that the pain you're having at your sternum, may be epigastric pain. And you may need to see a g I doctor. It sounds a lot like gastrointestinal disease.
This would also affect your stools. It also sounds like you have IBS-C, which is a condition where you often don't feel like you're emptied totally.
I know because I fight it every day.
As far as your dreaming goes, I have the same problem. I give myself two tylenol, and it seems to keep the dreams at bay. Sometimes it's an effort just to get out of bed in the morning.
You also wanna consider seeing someone. It sounds like you're depressed. And i'm only saying this because it's what happened to me.

@christine5 thank you for responding. I’m sorry that you’ve experienced both those.

Sometimes I’ve wondered how much is pain I’m feeling and how much is stress/anxiety. I don’t think it’s all stress though because I’ve been stressed before and didn’t have this problem, and at times I’ve felt like somethings wrong.
I didn’t mention this in the original post, but sometimes when I’ve had the pain or discomfort, it’s given me the urge to have a bowel movement within minutes of feeling that way.
