@kasandphyl1. I would think it would depend on how much colon you have left? With an ileostomy, I just had to eat clear fluids and then fast.
Has you GI doctor given you any instructions?
@susanf8 I had no problem with my colonoscopy with my bag I just had to not eat nuts and other foods could not drink coffee with creamer or eat or drink anything red but did have to take the 2 bottles of cleaner and drink 64 ounces of water within 2 hours, but my colonoscopy with my bag went well, they do have to go into your stoma and the other end.
@susanf8 Yes I have instructions as to what to do and eat. I just
wanted to know if there was any best way to not have to sit on the toilet all evening long and wait for the bag to get full and then empty it? I was instructed to drink the first bottle and 8 glasses of clear fluids and 3 hours repeat.
@catbaloo76 Is your Stoma sore after the procedure?? What if they find something wrong while they are in there?? Do they fix it right then and there?? I am not attached to my rectum. It is cut off from the colon and the colon is looped up to the Stoma. I was told that they would check though.
@kasandphyl1 no my stomach wasn't sore if it was I didn't notice because my back hurt to much,and I believe if anything else is wrong while in there they do repair it. I believe I'm not attracted either to my rectum but I still have urges to go to the bathroom through my rectum but that is natural.
@catbaloo76 Well I did one bottle of stuff and several glasses of water! I was watching TV and blew up all over the living room and bathroom! Cleaning up the mess took hours, along with a shower!! I never did the rest of that awful stuff because I just kept shooting out liquid, no more poop. I do not want to do that ever again. If that isn't good enough for them then they will just have to deal with it! Can't wait for tomorrow to be here and gone.

1 Reaction@kasandphyl1 did you have your bag on?? Or was it on good? Everything went in my bag and I was able to empty it .
@kasandphyl1 with me mm y bag got full really fast and I watch TV until I had to empty it.Had no trouble with that.
