My husband just started 25 mg of Zoloft for anxiety. He was just moved to the Memory Care unit at the CCRC we bought into. We started the Zoloft for any increased anxiety that will occur with the move. He is also on .125 Klonopin in the middle of the night. To fall asleep he is on Trazadone. He is not on any other meds. Aricept and Exelon were not helpful. He seemed to get more agitated. I sometimes think I did not give them enough of a try but he has moderate Alzheimers and we are waiting for the results of his skin biopsy for Lewy Body.
My PCP wanted me on something awhile ago but I told her I'd rather have my glass of wine with dinner. A pill would not allow me to choose red or white or which stem glass to choose as I sip and relax with dinner or sitting and writing in my journal. She smiled.
