It may be a more wearable version of the posture-correcting harnesses one can buy. Whether it helps your particular issue... worth trying.

Posture problems are often self-inflicted - speaking for myself and my wife - and the first step to correcting them is to be constantly reminded that one should not be doing whatever it is that one has been doing.
If you want to try a cheaper solution first, buy a corrector harness.

In the end, only you yourself can correct your posture.

@v8auto Good morning, I just saw your reply regarding using a posture shirt, where you said a corrector harness can be used.

I am looking into a posture corrector from a company called Core Care. It looks similar to a device workers use to protect their back when lifting, like a weight belt with shoulder straps. Have you heard of, or do you have experience with, anything like these posture correctors?

The main reason I'm looking at these correctors is because I have scoliosis, and the ad I saw has a woman using it for her scoliosis condition. You wear it during the day for a few hours, and it is supposed to help stabilize your spine.

I tried the posture correcting harnesses. I did not feel like they corrected the problem. The reason I hilunch is because of cervical and lumbar spine pain. With the harness, my pain beat out the harness. I think the solution is the underlying problem. Before my spine issues, I was complimented for my posture. Now, after shrinking two inches and numerous procedures, I'm an old hunchback.

@marcd2k the only time I wore a harness is after I tore my costal cartilage, and it certainly helped.
I think a lot of these aids are aimed at people whose posture is bad because they slump, or spend too much time on the computer, or like my wife have a head-forward posture from peering through the lower part of her bifocals for years.
Whether they can help with a medical condition will vary from person to person.
In the case of scoliosis for instance, it would depend where the bend is, and I would think that you would need a tailored harness rather than one that can be bought off the shelf.

The harnesses cannot correct medical conditions but are good for reeducation of posture bit like taping. Helps to relieve pain The braces often hurt under the armpits but like taping they do work
