Omega 3’s in food seem to be the best combat food. Many are high in 6’s which harm your bones. Carlson lemon flavored liquid fish oil is yummy and I use one capful on my salad or just straight from bottle.
Prunes, walnut’s , flax milk, ground flax, chia seeds. All help.
I love avocado and olive oil and they are high in omega 6’s. I counter the 6’s with more 3’s.

Now if I could figure out what protein powder is best to add to my smoothies. Any recommendations ?

I use avocado oil for making popcorn, which is my comfort food. I didn’t know that about Omega 6’s, jeez you just can’t win. I use 2 TB of flax in my smoothies along with 1% milk and 1/2 c Greek yogurt, 1oz power greens, 1/2 c of blueberries and strawberries. That gets me 23gm of protein and 500mg calcium. I’ve thought about adding protein powder, but I worry about what’s in them.

@meri8181 no idea on the best protein powder, but I use Shaklee protein.

@meri8181 I did the exact same with Carlson lemon fish oil. It’s absolutely delicious on salads.

@meri8181 I've purchased two protein powders from Amazon: Oath Nutrition in flavors Kiwi Strawberry and Pink Lemonade. The Kiwi flavor is a bit too sweet for me. The Lemonade flavor was very good, like frothy lemonade. Each serving has 20 grams of protein and only 1 gram of sugar. I also purchased Orgain Organic Vegan Protein powder in Strawberries and Cream flavor, but I haven't tried it yet. It has 21 grams of protein and less than 1 gram of sugar.

I add this to a smoothie with a banana and other fruit and AlgaeCal Collagen powder with Fortibone, which studies have shown helps those with osteoporosis.
