Doctor recommendations

Posted by shawnpeters @shawnpeters, 2 days ago

I have been dealing with many symptoms including pain, GI issues ect.... years after having an oophorectomy left side. I have been dismissed, passed from doctor to doctor, treated very poorly by many different doctors. All of them take only 5 mins to evaluate and then say they don't know. I am disparately looking for a specialist in scar tissue, nerve issues and muscle issues anywhere in the country. please can someone recommend me a doctor who listens and actually tries to find the source of my issues? Thank you

I am sorry you are dealing with this. I am of no help, but wish you good luck. What about the sponsor of this website, Mayo Clinic?

@hotrod83 Have you ever been? Do you think they can help?? Ive been to a lot of specialist over the years and they all say the same. Ive even tried the Cleveland clinic. Cleveland clinic was no help and very expensive. I wonder if the mayo clinic would be different?? Nothing in the healthcare system is easy unfortunately.

May want to meet with a Pain Mgt Psychologists. My limited research in the matter and discussion with MDs is that afterwhile chronic pain establishes pathways directly to the mind, where more routine medications, etc. do not work. You may also seek out a Palliative Care Spec. who maybe able to offer you alternative treatment alternatives.

@shawnpeters No I have never been. I hear good things about the Mayo Clinic. Maybe start with a phone call. If you are military, there would be Walter Reed.

I would begin by seeing a GREAT PT . I live in NJ and major shoulder and neck pain and all doctors say they want to do steroids!!! NO, I don't think so!! Saw a GREAT PT and took my blood and separated it and injected 💉 the plasma into my shoulder to help get rid of the fluid +PT. I feel so much better. Still doing PT. Good luck
