Has anyone felt cured from this?

I have grown up watching my mother battle depression and anxiety, never getting help or medication, but my father helped keep her present. After he died, she is now on medication.
I too was closing getting medicated until I found a therapist that prescribed a alt solution called an Alpha Stim. Insurance does not cover the cost but its FDA approved. I use the Alpha Stim daily for anxiety but it also helps with depression and insomnia.
I also pursuing neurofeedback to help my sub-conscious to better regulate for when I am feeling anxiety or depression. There are solutions, not popular because medications are pushed.

@myacct123 my husbands job was very high pressure with deadlines. He retired 2 years before he quite wanted due to pressure and physical health issues. A lot of his self worth was tied up in his identity of his job. His depression was quite immediate with his retirement. He did have a part time job once he retired, being able to work from home. That actually proved too much for him. His “dream” was to have time to do “nothing” for awhile after retiring. 10 years later and he’s still doing nothing, lacking all motivation. At this point his mental and especially physical health has suffered from lack of care.

10 years! You must be a saint. That is a long time to be watching someone die. My heart goes out to you.
