I was dx’d with small colonization of PA following a bronchoscopy and my doctor immediately wanted to put me on either tobramycin (TOBI) or levofloxacin. I have MAC/NTM and BE. I elected TOBI neb for 28 days and neb with 7% saline first each time. Every 12 hours. So far side effects include hoarseness which is concerning. To protect my kidneys as best as possible, I have been drinking fluids to make sure I do not get dehydrated. After reading about this gram negative bacteria I was alarmed. Yes, it’s a chore but I am determined to shake this thing. I think I got it because I am also on Prolia.
