@momma2lucy, such a helpful post. Thank you.

Were you also able to use the walkways, the subway to get places without going out in the cold? What was your favorite place to take a minute between appointments?

@colleenyoung all my appts were in the Gonda bldg and I was so nervous about missing an appt first thing in the morning I always arrived an hour early. I brought my Yeti from home and filled it with the hotel coffee and sat and read on whatever floor my first appt was scheduled on and I was usually taken early. Below the Lobby floor there is a Subway level where there are stores and a couple places to eat with many healthy options. Chips, a bottle of pop and a tuna salad on whole wheat came to approximately $11.00. Due to knee issues I didn’t venture far into the numerous hallways to explore. You will be amazed at the sheer volume of patients there. Homewood or Grubhub does waive delivery fees to the hotel. There are many local eateries within a two block walk of the hotel ranging from McDonalds to sit down restaurants. It is a nice neighborhood to walk around in if you need to de-stress. The breakfast the hotel
provides is better than most with many grab and go options like overnight oats in a cup with a lid, muffins or fruit if you need to fast for bloodwork you can take it with you and eat when you can to save a couple dollars.
