Is cystoscopy a standard procedure prior to TURP?

I am not a doctor, but asking for a cystoscopy seems like a good idea and is quick and easy. Anyway, I don't find them bad and seems like a good approach to see what is there before doing surgery.

@diverjer Depends on the Dr. doing it ..my 1st one was pure torture ..the 2nd one different Dr. ..when he said all done I said your kidding ..if it's like this with u doing it I could do it a couple times a year with no problem
