Hi, @truly520 - how frustrating to be taking buproprion (Wellbutrin) for months and be still experiencing feeling teary.

I will say that I take this medication personally, and I started probably 15 years ago. The ramp up time to get up to my dose on this and then for my body to adjust was bumpy.
I would not call my mental health perfectly stable during this time (nothing crazy, but all over the board).

Fortunately, the pharmacist who filled my medication warned me it could be a shaky ride for my body to become used to this medicine. He said that acclimation could last up to 5 months or so, but then the medication would very likely work for me.

It did. When my body leveled out, maybe at about 5 months after starting it, the buproprion worked really well. My doctor did have to go up to 450 mg to get all the effect needed. I still take it, though a slightly lower dose.
