Brain MRI is the gold standard test for severe headaches. You should pursue that with your doctor.

@purple26. It has been a couple of years now, but she has had brain MRI, CAT scan, every blood test you can think of, tried acupuncture, chiropractor, botox, cardiologist, neurologist, you name it. Only thing that gives some relief is Maxault (Rizatriptan) and that is temporary. Has tried Nurtec, Qulipta and Emgality which she is presently taking but doesn't help
