Hello to fellow Prolia users out there. A month ago I had a Prolia injection. It has a long half life which. with regard to this drug, means after a month 50% of it is still in one's body. Friday evening before going to bed I started feeling tension/minor pressure in the center of my chest. I went to bed but had a hard time sleeping because it continued. Saturday morning I got up and ran some errands and the mostly present, though at times intermittent discomfort, continued. Last time I had this issue and went to a walk-in clinic I was told to go to the ER. (Instead I went to a friend's house (she is a nurse) who has a 12 lead "thingy" and had her do an EKG.) This time, as it was a Saturday and my doctor's office was closed, I went to the ER. (I won't complain about how long I had to wait-will just be grateful I have insurance that will cover the charges.) I had every test there is, including a treadmill test, only to be told, "It's not your heart." After returning home I googled if Prolia can cause chest pain. The answer is "yes." Just wondering if anyone else has had this apparent side effect.

I have been on Prolia for a long time. I never experienced that but have had so many o ty her side effects one would have to wonder. Hope your feeling better.

@mkoch yes, I have had that side effect, plus many other side effects. My worse adverse effect...swelling. My right leg is at least twice the size of my left. I have also had swelling of the eyes. My last injection was 12-19-2025. I will not be getting another! Too many side effects!!
