@deccakid I think the main work clearing a GnRH antagonist is happening in your liver and (to a lesser extent) kidneys. Something like 80% of the drug will eventually be excreted in feces either way, and a little in urine as well.

So I don't think Orgovyx would pose any different risk to your digestive tract (since your liver is already pumping the Firmagon into your lower tract anyway to get rid of it), but also, if you're happy with Firmagon and it's not causing you any acute problems around injection time like swelling or low fever, no reason not to stay with it.

(Obviously, keep discussing with your oncologist.)

Yep, thank you for your reply. We;re all in the same boat, but different bodies and different chemical systems. I check stats and review them always with my oncologist.

I am not a doctor, nor professing to be one. I share my experiences and do as much as research...despite the research, I know from experience what works better for me than not...At stages of radiation, Eligard and another ADT I can't remember, I developed serious diarrhea which became chronic and put me in the hospital for life-threatening low potassium and life-threatening high creatine... Once out of the radiation and the changed from Eligard I became fine (not withstanding)...Perhaps I'm just a sensitive body which reacts differently than others...

Actually, upon checking, side effects of Orgovyx are equal to or > than 12% for chronic diarrhea...Why I won't even consider it...
Yep, the immediate and acute pain for a couple weeks after the Firmagon injection is far better than kidney, liver or heart failure...
