@houstonringing Look, it’s gut wrenching for sure but just do what has to be done, one thing at a time, OK?
MRI is scheduled so those results will shed some light on what is going on. It will dictate your next steps…
PSA came down a lot, so that rise could have been due to strain, stress or whatever, so that’s a good thing.
And the PHI index is like the 4K Score - I had one of those and it was completely wrong! My cancer was found on biopsy to be extensive and of a higher Gleason score, and a friend-who also had the 4K test - had minimal cancer, yet his score was TRIPLE mine…so don’t freak out over these different tests.
If the MRI shows anything suspicious, he’ll then have a biopsy (transperineal hopefully) and only then will you know what you are dealing with.
For all of us on the forum, this is life as we know it and it’s no longer a big deal, but for you and your mate it’s a real smack in the head because it all comes at you fast and furious and there’s no way to be prepared for it.
