You’ll need to discuss with your pulmonologist what level of anesthesia you’ll be able to tolerate. I’m certain anesthetists will be able to help you. What have your radiology studies shown as the cause?

Lung testing has revealed severely reduced lung volume, severely reduced diffusing capacity.
summary: Restrictive Lung Disease with Reduced Gas Exchange.
I am having a consultation with a neurosurgeon next month bur I think he will have reservations about surgery with my lung condition.
