@becsbuddy I both love and loathe the Spoon theory.

On the one hand- you have to budget your energy stores and use them wisely.

On the other hand- the trickster autoimmunity will sneak up on you at any moment and hit you with THE FATIGUE and now you have a spork. Or a whisk. You aren’t sure what utensils is in your hand, but it ill equipped for whatever you had planned for your day, and it’s unclear if you can remain in a vertical position long enough to safely make it to the nearest couch or bed. Ideally one with a fuzzy blankie. I mean, even a non-moving vehicle will do quite nicely many times. Just not too public of a place, and not somewhere in which you are likely to be ticketed for loitering and/or going to inadvertently be subjected to UV exposure (our mortal enemy).

Planning is all well and good, but you gotta be prepared to abandon everything for naps. Because you run out of energy. And by “naps” I clearly mean “bedtime at 6:30 pm”.

@marymaryoregon That is so funny! I love the part about finding an open vehicle! Gave me a good laugh! Thank you! --LL
