DO NOT use levaquin if you can help it. It is NOT the only drug to use. Cipro is safer and in the same family but you need to be hospitalized for 14 days of IV antibiotic. Do not let them use tobramycin. I now have extreme tinnitus, deafness, and stage 3 kidney disease because of tobramycin. There are many antibiotics that can be effective. They need to do a susceptibility growth of your sputum to determine the best one. Good luck. We are both fighting the good fight!

@beejenigma I have a possible penetrating aortic ulcer in the ascending aorta ,,,the infection Disease center was reticent to use Cipro for possibly putting pressure on the arteries .,
.Echos are periodically taken and so far the message is “there is no communications” .
Also I had tinnitus long before this illness and I have noticed that it became noisier and louder being treated . I have microbleeds that come and go but with this IV treatment they were much more prominent …larger and redder .. the IV has been pulled for a few days now so they are settling down .
Yes, by all means we keep up the good fight . I so appreciate this kind of forum that we can learn from each other .thsnks for your comments ! Kay B.
