@sheila7a No the effects were too severe. Even the inexperienced nurse practitioner was concerned and said stop. That's when the cardiologist started Repatha, which I tolerate okay. I get extreme fatigue later in the day of taking it, so switched to evening shot with early bedtime and am easy next day. So far it's keeping my LDL way down without a statin. I take CoQ10 by his recommendation, because I also have coronary artery disease, have had angina, and have a dreadful family history of severe heart disease.

When I was hit with MAC and Bronchiectasis, chronic pain, and then Covid started, I was depressed too. The pain rehab clinic recommended a counselor who helped a lot. I still meet with her occasionally. Have you talked to anyone?

Hello.
My ID doctor did refer me to behavioral health.
Appointments are being scheduled a year out.
I recently moved into senior apartments and I think that has added to my depression.
I loved my old neighborhood.

There is a very knowledgeable lady working at the health hut near me. She has made me copies of different supplements for my condition.
NAC is on the list. I haven't tried that yet, but did buy some mullein drops.
I want to ask my Pulmonologist what he thinks about adding the mullein.
I have osteoporosis.
The coughing while I do air clearance gives me all kinds of aches and pains.
I figure if the mullein will help loosen the mucus that will maybe cause less strain on my body.
Before Covid I volunteered at the library, walked in the parks, and the mall.
I would even take videos of me running a couple of feet and send to my son.
He got a kick out of them as he is an ultra marathon runner.
Now if I get the laundry done and go to the store I feel like I've run a marathon
I'm not blaming this MAC on covid. It just seems like this all started after covid.
Sorry so long. Close to 1am and I can't sleep.
