The antibiotic is Zosyn …the Infectious Disease Center managing my treatment has a set up with a “fanny pack” that holds the small IV bag, which is attached to a small “machine” that is programmed to dispense the med to me continuously for 24 hrs until I go back the next day and they change to a new IV bag and reprogram the machine for another 24 hrs. I had a PICC line in and that was flushed daily and bandage changed daily . They did a blood draw each week through the PICC line.
So I had to go daily for 3 weeks for the above procedure …the other choice was hospital and I did not want to go that route. Please give a shout with any questions ! Kay B.

Did you get insomnia from the Zosyn? Do you think the 24 hour drip would make that known side effect of Zosyn more likely??
