one thing that can be missed is the fact that a high sodium intake increases urine sodium which increases urine calcium excretion. Use of electrolyte solutions and certain foods ( restaurants!!) can be sneaky sources of sodium.

@daylemaples Excellent point. I have tracked my diet for years to ensure I was getting enough calcium and I went back and reviewed my sodium intake. I was shocked to see that I was consuming way more than the recommended amount even with a healthy diet. Now that I have found out that I have hypercalciuria I have eliminated a few sources of sodium that were contributing to my high intake.
