@rperry123, I wish both of you the best outcome for surgery.

A stoma is an opening on the surface of the abdomen surgically created to divert the flow of faeces or urine, like a colostomy (opening from the colon) or an illeostomy (from the small intestine).

He recently had a “redo” of the intestine that was being kinked due to scar tissue. The surgeon removed part of the intestine and bowel and reattached them. Lots of scar tissue removal due to build up. Hoping the bowel starts working before discharge.
