Six months with Abbott ProclaimPlus for foot neuropathy. Fewer episodes of pain in the upper levels, more daytime hours of little thought about the feet, but still too many nights of poor sleep.

I have ilioinguinal nerve pain which has become incapacitating. I am waiting for a date to place scs. Has anyone had one for this type of pain?

I had a Boston Scientific implanted early 2012, my Idiopathic Neuropathy started in 2008 in my toes. The SCS helped with about 60% of my Burning and Shooting pain. I still required medication but not as much. I stopped using the SCS around 2020, it was not providing any relief. In 2026 I agreed to have the Battery upgraded so I could try newer programs and get a MRI. My SCS was not MRI compatible. After two surgeries Boston was able to get the correct Leads and Battery to my Surgeon. Right now I do not think the SCS is helping and Boston seems to be having issues supporting patient in the Las Vegas NV area, but I can now get an MRI. Things to consider, what to do if it no longer helps after a period of time or if the SCS reaches End of Life and is not supported by the manufacture.

My mom had one implanted. She never knew if it was on or working. Boston Scientific didn't help her at all with it. Their customer service was not very good. The battery didn't seem to work properly so they sent a new one and charged her $3200.

Hello fellow sufferers. I commenting regarding the spine simulator implants. I have tried two of them. The first one, similar to the Boston Scientific I believe, did absolutely nothing for the issues that I am experiencing with pain in the back of my thighs and the numbness, burning/cold sensations, tingling on my feet that now travel up my lower legs. I then were given facet joint injections as a precursor for the “DRG” Abbot’s spine simulator implants that could address the feet issues. Again, after the trial period where many adjustments were attempted, the implant wires and battery were retired as there was no significant improvements. What is next? I might try acupuncture, paying out of my own pocket as neither Medicare nor other insurers will pay. Beyond that there is nothing that I am aware will help. Good luck to you on your quest for relief from this insidious disease.
