@sherridz66 I am so sorry you are going through this. I am 72 years young and was put on Prolia when I was about 65 years young when I was in the stage of osteopenia. After being on Prolia for 6 years I ended up with severe jaw pain that I assumed was TMJ. It was not. When I went to an oral surgeon to find out what was happening, he told me to get off of Prolia IMMEDIATELY. Jaw pain is one of the known side effects of Prolia. Last summer I started on AlgaeCal Plus along with the Strontium Boost. My doctor in Denver supports my getting on this program because he knows how adverse I am to taking Evenity and Prolia. In 3 months I will be going for a DEXA scan (which is the one year mark) and even if my scores have a tiny improvement, I will continue with my regiment. Sadly, Evenity, Prolia and so many other drugs/infusions can have horrible side effects so I'm not willing at this point to take any of them. I saw the bad effects the Evenity and Prolia programs had on a dear friend and I steer away from them!
Focus on getting exercise every day. Try light weights to strengthen muscles that will support your bones. I religiously have worked out all my life at least 5 days a week and my doctor feels that this is making a big difference in helping me with my osteoporosis. I will update everyone with hopefully good news when I get my next DEXA scan!
