I can take estradiol inserts and I had ER+ breast cancer. My oncologist explained that they now know taking estradiol vaginal cream does not enter the blood stream thereby not causing a systemic concern for ER+ breast cancer patients. I believe the FDA has just removed the black box warning to the same effect.
