I have Drug-induced cerebellar ataxia from 59 years of taking Phenobarbital and other first-generation seizure medications.
My question is How often do you fall? I fall frequently, usually daily and would fall more often if I didn't walk next to walls although I seldom fall if I go for a walk but have an ataxic gait. I veer off course quite a bit and have been stopped by police who thought I had been drinking.
How does your ataxia affect your walking?
Take care,
Jake

@jakedduck1 I like the way you keep at it though! I had two falls last year that caused injuries, first with a broken wrist and then a broken knee cap. This year I'm trying to get my mojo back and fortunately I discovered these Nordic trekking poles. They make me look like a real hiker, haha, but I'm sure everyone sees me just as a senior trying not to fall. They also help eliminate strain on my back. Thought you might be interested. Best to you, LL
