@dchristi yes I would start with them. You might be able to find out something on your insurance website when you log into your account. Might start with messages or emails. Also look under medications If a ‘chat’ comes up, you can try talking with them if it seems like a real person and not a ‘bot’.
I was told there are 3 specialty pharmacies that produce the drug. I get mine from Amber; there’s also Optum that’s approved. I don’t know the third or if there’s more now. My part D is with Humana Premier and they had to approve me getting the drug. Previously, I had United Healthcare and they have it approved and work with Optum Specialty pharmacy. There’s no generic or other similar drug so insurance should cover it is my thought. Let me know if you have any luck finding out anything today or tomorrow. ☘️
