What I find interesting is that so many people are suffering with pain and I have PN caused by taking a cholesterol pill that turned me into a Type2 diabetic and that caused my PN, but I have zero pain, just weakness, numbness, and tingling in my feet. This is one weird illness.

@cit10jetjockey , I’m so sorry to hear that. I’ve heard many stories about cholesterol meds, statins, etc., but not that one. Is it a known side effect of the particular medication?

@cit10jetjockey I stopped a statin for six months, and made no difference in my neuropathy. Unfortunately, I have chronic pain with mine 24/7. At night I have a relax routine, plus take a zolpidem - only way I can get 5-6 hours sleep. Normally before 6:00 a.m. the pain is what wakes me up and start the day again. I have found The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy a great resource along with this Mayo Clinic site.
