When I became a Vegan, I gave up all dairy, meats, eggs. Basically no animal Protein or fats. I love Almond milk--Almonds and water. I use the SILK brand of almond milk Unsweetened, Vanilla which has the consistency and (to me) tastes about the same as Skin Milk. When I was 65 to 70, I started the Vegan diet. I have found various kinds of "cheeses" based on soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk. and oat milk. I discovered I didn't need the animal protein. I get my salt from soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce.

For those who Lactose intolerance, I suggest trying Almond Milk.

@rollingf If you get salt from sauces, do you also use table salt? Any thyroid issues?
I stopped using table salt due to high blood pressure and my serum sodium level dropped, and dropped, and fell below normal.
My TSH then went up, I’ve never had thyroid issues, 72 yo.
I started eating Nori seaweed, and TSH is back to 3 (6 months of seaweed).
