Reclast side effects 🙁

@normahorn, I am not seeing a date on this study. Do you know it? I would like to send this to my doctor.

Also, I note that it was done on women with osteopenia; is there any similar study with women who have severe osteoporosis (or are at least osteoporotic)?

Thanks for any help you can give. I have to decide whether to take my 2nd Prolia shot or to ditch Prolia and go to Reclast. I only took the Prolia because I had already finished my two years on Tymlos and have severe enough OP that I needed to be on a med (I am 74, frail, have several chronic illnesses and cannot entirely exercise and eat in a manner that would help my bones enough). Evenity wasn't an option because I have heart disease.

One of my docs would like to see me off the Prolia so I don't get stuck on it for life and he suggested going to Reclast. But I'm as afraid of the Reclast side effects as I am of the prospect of never being able to get off Prolia. But in reading about the long-term side effects of Reclast, I don't know that that switching is a good idea. So I'm very interested in finding out more about the lower-dose infusions and differing infusion schedules, which might help me where side effects are concerned.

@bayhorse I googled "ten year reclast study" and several websites came up. I also found this Youtube video by Dr Lucas discussing results of a 10-year study. https://www.youtube.com/watch
