My Doctor has had me on Prevastatin for year's and now I've got to the point where I've lost all of my music mass, I keep falling down and I'm 55 yrs old, my Pain Specialist told me to stop it immediately, so I have, I've been taking, potassium, magnesium and zinc and I feel a bit better off of it, when I fell, I had no strength in my body whatsoever to get up, before taking Prevastatin, I was on the coated fish oil pills, I'm tired of them pushing Big Pharma drugs and I'm a retired worker from 2 Medical Care office's

@munchkin717 have you had you CPK checked? This will indicate your muscle enzyme level. My was at 809 and should only be at highest 160 (depends on lab this was Mayo). Rheumatologist immediately told me to stop statins and never to take them again. I was dx with muscle wasting. My cholesterol isn't high. I also am gluten free now which helped bring it down more. This was 16 yrs ago and it has not improved much as there was great damage to the muscles. I was 49 at the time. Best of luck to you.
