Are you on statins for cholesterol? That can cause severe myalgia. Other medications can also. Mine hurt like the dickens just when trying to get up and down. My ferritin is low and wondered if that could affect muscles. Do you have any autoimmune diseases that might affect muscles? Is it only legs?

@loyd1957 I think your point about a statin causing or contributing to this leg pain is a good one. If you are taking the statin, stop taking it for a few days and see what happens, and be sure when taking it, to take it in the AM, not before bedtime.
