@tomrennie
I will have surgical debulking guided by ultrasound, The problem is one of the tumors is close to the Portal vein and the right hepatic vein also passes through this bifurcation. We discussed potential complications like bile leakage in which I will need a tube inserted. I will be in the hospital about 6 days which seems long. I am more nervous about this surgery than I was the removal of my lung. I am a retired nurse so I know complications do happen but if this surgery buys me more years I will take the risk...

@aprils1957 I currently have a 4cm pancreatic NET that has spread primarily to my liver and bones. The largest liver mass is 5.7cm and is again slowly growing into my left portal vein. My splenic vein is blocked. Initially, 3.5 years ago, my tumors also mostly blocked the main portal vein and the superior mesenteric vein. Due to the spread, surgery wasn't an option. I needed systemic treatment. I have been living on chemo ever since. Has systemic treatment been considered? How will the debulking surgery buy you a few more years? As a retired nurse, I greatly value your input. Thank you.
