What treatments for spinal cord compression symptoms post-op 2 years
I had anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) surgery at levels, C5 and C6. Six weeks postop suffered spinal cord compression this happened two years ago. I’ve been trying to manage various symptoms for two years. Each doctor has there own thoughts lermitts’s electric buzzing with flexion syndrome was the first symptom lasted 4 months. While this has improved. I now have front soft tissue pain on right neck. possible accessory nerve damage, cervical plexus, brachial plexus, .Shoulder and neck pain in front and back right arm aches trapezius muscle atrophy and feels weak . Right side of body weak feeling . I’ve been diagnosed with myelopathy pain syndrome and experiencing burning pain on back of neck scalp upper arms and other parts of body. Two years ago I tried all of these drugs gabapentin, amitriptyline, Lyrica, tramadol. I finally managed to get off of those and now they want to try Melexitine . I’m in physical therapy. I feel I’ve been to every doctor and had extensive work ups but no real effective treatment or sadly the doctors don’t have a clear diagnosis or cause of the most recent onset of new symptoms . I’m scared tired and searching for a way to get more support. Can anyone help ?

Hi I had issues in Nov of 2024 woke up one day and couldn't move my left arm or leg was taken to the hospital and they thought I was having a stroke gave me medicine to stop a stroke even though my brain MRI showed nothing I was in hospital for 1 week then in impatient rehab for a week to gain my strength to walk back then in Dec 2024 it happened again but this time it was my right arm the hospital kept sending me home acting like I was lying so I went to a different hospital and that's when they found that my c5 c6 was severely compressing my spinal cord so they rushed me to a different hospital for a fusion on my c5 c6 at the time I didn't know that loss of bowels could mean that either u can't go or u can't it when u have to go. I didn't have a bowel movement for 16 days until I had surgery then my bowels started working and I could move again then 8 months post opp surgery all of a sudden I kept getting where my leg would give out on me or my arms would go numb or tingly and my bowels wouldn't let me go to bathroom again the doctors did a MRI said everything was fine except I had new bulging discs at my l5s1 and my t8 t9 was a bulging disk and effacing my spinal cord they only checked my lower back because I had began to have lower back pain that was sever where I could barely move my surgeon told me none of my issues in my back was touching any of my nerves so it isn't what was causing the pain finally I went and had a mylogram done to check my c5 c6 again but they told me it looked ok and wasn't causing my pain so now next month I go for a emg has anyone ever had this happen to them my bowels are still shut down unless I drink magnesium celtrite to go to bathroom and my lower back always feels like something is bulging or twisting in my lower back if I use my arms a lot at work like if I do alot of reaching my arms out when I get off work I can barely walk from my lower back also some days my leg barely holds me up it has good days and bad days and can't figure out what's wrong with me my mylogram did show though that I have a bone spur where my fusion is
