When I turned 50, I was over 270lbs. I started tracking calories, eating healthier, and walking 7500 steps a day. Walking 7500 steps turned to 15-20,000 steps a day, running worked its way in there and I would run 3+ miles at a time. Lost a bunch of weight and got kinda scrawny.
Started doing pushup’s a to add muscle. That led to lifting weights, a gym membership… things were going good. I got down to under 180 by cardio, back up to 185+ doing strength training (just basically in the last 6 months). Things were going good. I went from fat to scrawny to fit.
But now, I’ve lost all motivation. Not because of physical ability, but just lack of desire. I’m hoping this is a temporary thing, where I will be able to get back to it and enjoy it.
