@kujhawk1978 Absolutely true! ‘In vitro’ is a lot different than ‘in vivo’ and so much of what is published - and makes it to general media - is often the former, with a compound being poured into a Petri dish and analyzing the results.

Yes, that is how every study starts. ; )

If there are good results in a "dish" , than "animal model" research protocol's are done.

If those shows result than research on humans is conducted.

Many times there are great results in all mentioned steps but human trails do not happen due to lack of interest or more often lack of funding and that does not mean that substance does not have an effect ; ).
