Has anyone had to discontinue Zytiga due to side effects?

I would like to thank everyone that had shared their experiences on this forum. It has been extremely helpful. Gleason 9, EPE and intake in a couple of pelvic lymph nodes. Radiation completed about a year ago. Have completed 18 months on Orgovyx and 15 months on Zytiga. Psa has been less than .01 for the last 9 months. I’m 62 and working with kids all day. So on my feet. Throughout this time, fatigue, memory loss, loss of balance,,mobility issues and lots of aches and pains. Thankfully no issues with hot flashes Over the last 6 months. All have gotten progressively worse. We(doctors and myself) decided to take a one month vacation off the predizone/ aberoterone to see if things improve. Does anyone have any insights into anything like this? Has anyone switched from aberoterone to something else? Did it help?

@pacojunior31, I also was a Gleason 9 with EPE and 2 positive lymph nodes. I was treated with surgery then salvage radiation. I was on Orgovyx and ABI/ 5 mg pred for 11 months, all with undetectable PSA. Congrats on making it 15 months on ABI. My quality of life declined severely by 10 months. I had severe fatigue and body aches, sleep disturbances, and moderate depression. My oncologist decided to start my ADT vacation at 11 months. That was 11 months ago. My PSA remains undetectable and my testosterone has returned to low normal. I feel mostly like my old self again. I believe it was the Titan study that indicated that 18 months of ADT was as effective as 24 months and hopefully your oncologist will let you try a vacation and a return to a better quality of life. Abiraterone Is really tough on the body. I’ve been working with a guy who had a lot of fatigue from it. I encouraged him to talk to his doctor about switching his prednisone to 10 mg and it made a major difference in his fatigue. A doctor at one of the forums I was at talked about his experience with prostate cancer and the fatigue he had from ADT, He increased his prednisone to 7.5 mg and it made a big difference but it started causing prediabetes issues so he had to cut back down. Something to make sure you get tested regularly if you do increase prednisone.
I know that some doctors prescribed 10 mg of Prednisone just to start. The recommended dosage is 5 or 10 mg.
I was on abiraterone For 2 1/2 years, In that time, I was only undetectable one month. It did keep my PSA down, but also gave me high blood pressure and four afib Events. I switched to Nubeqa (Darolutamide) Three years ago and it has been great. No side effects, My PSA has been undetectable for the last 28 months. I know dozens of people on Nubeqa And it is quite popular because of its lack of side effects. I know a number of people that are on it as their only drug since it suppresses testosterone ability to allow the prostate cancer cells to use testosterone. Talk to your doctor about switching to it. It has the least side effects of the three lutamide Drugs.
