I have a lot of tightness and discomfort where my hamstrings insert into my pelvis. Those hamstring muscles are also very tight. I see someone for dry needling, and she has done that to my hamstrings and I've gotten some pain relief from it. Please do some research on dry kneedling so you understand how it works.

You said you had surgery, but I don't know if that was surgery on the hamstrings or a knee or hip replacement. Before going further with dry kneedling, I'd talk with the surgeon about it. Get their advice on whether or whether not to try it.

In the meantime use ice to relieve pain. Don't use heat, it only increases inflammation.
