Hello, Jan.

You should 100%, absolutely be seen by a Medical doctor. It sounds like you took a pretty big fall...twice.

Put all feelings of embarrassment aside for the safety of your own health. Being an advocate for yourself cannot be stressed enough. Here is an article http://bit.ly/1BYZ7tN from the U.S health and news on being an advocate for your own health. It takes practice speaking up for yourself and asking questions that sometimes make us feel somewhat vulnerable, but necessary in order for us to get the best care for our personal needs.

I hope I'm not coming across as preaching but I too, have been in the same boat as you. I had a horrible concussion after a car accident a year and 1/2 ago and thought "this is part of getting banged up and hitting my head" and then I took two weeks before I address the fact that I was abnormally tired and had headaches and couldn't think of what I wanted to say. I was finally frustrated enough that I went in and was put on "brain rest" for 7 weeks and some cognitive therapy to follow. To this day, I still struggle with what I'm trying to say. My physician told me the earlier brain rest starts after brain trauma, the faster recovery will begin.

please make an appointment to be seen and follow up with us on how you are doing. 🙂

You are right. Thank you. I always put everyone first ahead of myself. The first fall I was just put to bed and this fall no one
even offered to take me to the hospital except the office help at the hotel who wasa so concerned for me. You gave me the shove
I needed. I will do it immediately. At 70 I am not what I used to be and balance is off more than it used to be. I was a work horse all my life and maybe it's time for me to realize I need to come first. Again, Thank you for your response.
