@kdog1957 Hello your post was very encouraging to me. I’m getting ready to have a craniotomy on my frontal lobe. My meginoma is little over 3.5 something . I’m having no problems, The surgeon said he surprised I haven’t had a stroke or other problems he talks like there allot of edema. Can you tell me how you did after your surgery and many some things I might need to have when I come home from the hospital? Thank you , Teresa Prewitt

@tprewitt67 its nice that they caught it in time and i wish you nothing but good will and strength to recover. well i am going to guess you will go through PT in the hospital and advise from many staff members. i needed to have my shower modified with handles and slip resistant stickers , a chair to sit on and different shower head with line to reach my chair, i had many balance issues and had a caregiver help me so i didn't fall or injure what was already damaged. patience with your progress. takes longer that a lot of other surgery's you would be doing healing different pace. im sure that you will have many people here that can help you with lists of things. we all have suggestions. because of my age and family help caregiving me those first months meant a lot. Family its worth fighting for to get better. prayer is a big factor in my case, i had prayer chains and hundreds of people sending prayers so ill start by sending you one for health, strength and healing ==========sent and have a blessed day and safe travels.

Hello, my tumor location was also frontal lobe. Because of the severe neurological symptoms pre surgery I had a long hospital stay. Fortunately Medicare covered almost all the bills. I had to use a walker then a cane after I got home. I had a shower chair and some suction cup handles in the shower to help with balance. You may not need all this stuff as it sounds like you’re doing okay now. These items can be purchased through Amazon or at Walgreens or Lowe’s. I improved rapidly after the surgery. I had follow-up radiation therapy a few months after surgery. I went on a fitness kick before and during radiation treatment that resulted in Achilles tendinitis, so that’s where I’m at now🙄
