@dld26 I would see a different doctor. I got my prescription from a Dr at a Pain Clinic. But my regular family Dr also prescribes it for those with fibromyalgia. So, check to see if there is a pain clinic in your area or ask your regular doctor if they would provide it. You could also call a compounding pharmacy in your area and see if they would recommend a doctor that would prescribe it for you. Print out some of the studies that show it helps osteoporosis.

I am curious if you know why your Rheumatologist won't prescribe it? It has so many fewer side effects than so many other drugs that doctors will prescribe. Do you still have fibromyalgia?

Keep searching. Good luck to you.

My rheumatologist said that she won't prescribe it because it's still in the research stage. and she is onboard with the biologic farce. Yea, okay. So my sweetheart of a regular Dr. referred me to a Dr. who would prescribe it for fibromyalgia. The appt is in June. In the meantime, I'm thinking to call the compounding pharmacy and get their take on things.
Thanks, and good luck to you, too.
