@kasper1 We do need to stay hydrated and drink the liquids, however, have you been told that we actually can possibly reduce our sodium level that is needed.
However for me I have leg cramps and foot cramps if my sodium level gets too high. It is a real balancing act...the electrolytes...sodium, potassium, and magnesium.
You may already know all this but just in case.

@kasper1 Considering you may have been on many types of medications it is hard to know exactly which and why of what is causing the cramps...but the new meds may be the 'straw that broke the camels back' so to speak. I know that for me if I take certain types of medications I get leg cramps and terrible foot cramps such that the foot twits in. Sodium in various forms will do it for me, cramping in the legs.
I find that potassium and possibly magnesium helps....and bananas.
The information that scoop mentioned, I just read and regarding electrolytes is on target....magnesium and potassium. It does the trick for me with bananas also.
