@ampmr2025 I am just a sufferer like you. I have been on this site and a facebook site off and on for the last 4 years. My family Dr has a fairly large practice and does mens and womens health. When PMR struck me and I was diagnosed, my PA said I was the only one in the practice with that diagnosis. I have seen much more awareness in the 4 years that I have had this disease and the introduction of the newer biologics but I dont think anyone knows what causes it. I think mine started after taking the second covid vaccine. By chance I have met a couple of people that have had the diagnosis. One person was a classmate 52 years ago I talked with at a high school reunion. That said, I do believe that environmental factors could set off the right persons immune system. It seems to hit whether your fit or not. Maybe were all type A personalities. Who knows.
