@heathert
i've just stumbled onto your entry. I also have been diagnosed with a redundant bowel. I have been dealing with bowel issues now since cancer of the uterus long story short scar tissue from surgery and radiation exacerbate my problem. I have had a number of hospitalizations due to obstructions in the bell. I have been taking in my diet soluble fiber, but I've also discovered that it is volume small meals. I've lost a lot of weight over the years because of this condition drinking a lot of fluid obviously helps the bowel stay hydrated and moving things along. I blend a lot of of my food when I have an obstruction, I've ate very little if nothing over several days starting gradually again with vegetable broth, crackers I love fiber I miss my diet, but I am still able to manage. I eat red lentil pasta, which has fiber and much better for you. Better flour I think lots of fish wild caught obviously I love beetroot, but can only treat myself with a serving of beetroot. Maybe once a week twice if I'm lucky it's all about managing what you can handle and of course smaller meals. Slice of toast in the morning with yogurt, avocado, and Vegemite lunch will be the pasta and tuna. I use a lot of yogh for my sources, adding different flavors and spices. I have to be careful not to irritate my bowel too much with spicy but all in all they end of an evening because my digestion is so slow I'm not usually very hungry I may have some crackers with goat cheese or cheese and a little bit more avocado stewed pears in the baby food aisle. Also add with yogurt. I am trying to figure out if I should have a resection of my bowel. I'm 71 Very active garden. I walk three or 4 miles every day do my walking lunges and squats. I wish you well I hope any of this information has been helpful in someway and all the best. God bless and good luck.

@ameyc2 Hi, thenk you so much for your reply, lots of good information, I also have small meals throughout the day and eat lentils, youghurt, vege and stay hydrated. Blending sounds like a great idea, goatsTake Care,
