Yes, it is done in conjunction with biopsy performed before any treatment. Most members here had it done in that order and doctors made suggestions about initial treatment according to those results.
My husband had very high Decipher and cribriform and was advised to have RP as initial treatment by both surgeon and RT specialist due to all those aggressive indicators.
We here have a member that had high gleason (8) but low Decipher and for that reason was told by his team that he does not need to use ADT, etc.
Decipher directly effects decision process for initial treatment and it measures more RNA markers than GPS.
