Though my libido went to zero while on hormone therapy, everything still worked. From what I was told by my medical oncologist, the key is to continue doing it, despite the “want to” not being there.

So, my reduction in libido didn’t affect my performance.

Though I have no data to support this (only my MO’s advice that it would work - and it did), my experience not having ED while on ADT might be related to me ramping up my resistance-training exercise and cardio programs to minimize the side-effects of hormone therapy; that might(?) also have the side-benefit of keeping the blood flowing “down there” as well; I don’t know. Libido eventually returned to normal when testosterone returned to normal.

As it turned out, it wasn’t worth worrying about.

@brianjarvis That's good to know, and thanks. I do run about 30 miles per week (I coach running), and hit the gym twice a week for an hour or so. And yet, even after just the first week on Orgovyx, I've noticed a distinct reduction in my response to the usual stimuli, and my erections and orgasms (when I can achieve them) are on the soft and weak side. (But as a data nerd, perhaps I am overzealous in capturing data points!) So, as I said in my original post, I guess everyone's experience is different. And I continue to explore any positive life changes (increased empathy and calm) that come with all this, as it will be my life for two years. Stay strong, everyone!
