Stem Cell Therapy for Arthritic Knees
I am a 77 year old woman with arthritic knees where it's difficult for me to walk and I'm trying to avoid knee replacement. I have done the Synvisc injections and physical therapy-- to no avail. Is there anyone here who has had stem cell therapy for arthritic knees and I would like to know your outcome. I know there are two, one where bone marrow is removed and the other where they take fat from the abdomen and regenerate and inject into the knees. I would like to know the cost and how long the procedure takes and any other information which would be helpful to me. I live in North Jersey and am currently looking for clinics in my area who perform this procedure. I appreciate your help.

Are additional PRP's extra $?
Why do u think no relief?
Where was it done?
Did cells come from fat or bone?
Tell us too much info please.
To all: What kind of politicians can we appeal to re getting cells paid for by insurance?
Politicians: who in particular?
Than you for your note. Please tell me what doctor did your stem cell procedure? Were your knees bone on bone?
Justin, I'm very interested in the stem cell and PRP treatment. I'm actually looking for a place preferably in California that is very reputable and will try this on cervical disc, arthritis problems. Can you point me to a thread that my address this more than knees? Still have a hard time finding my way around to the correct threads and subjects. I'm willing to go to Mayo if I have to but it's a long way from California. I would love anybody's input that knows about what I just asked. Thank you Jennifer
my cells came from drilling into the hip and then it was mixed for 3-4 hours with my blood and injected into the knee.
my back was done with blood from arm and then injected into the back to stimulate the stem cells. it worked. 2 years later and no back pain nor an operation.
yes, i had the additional injection and it costs u money. But it has worked. Pick your poison i say.
way over 70, laid around a week, then played golf and had a hole in one. Back was L 4 L5 rubbing on nerve. Very painful. Now i exercise in stretching every morning and then i am good to go.
i was close to bone on bone. Dr Kruse in toledo ohio. I would do it again. I have finished losing 15 pounds this summer and knees feel good.
