@suefish One would expect Houston TX would be a leader in Long Covid care. MD Anderson Cancer, Texas Children’s , Texas Women s, the Debakey Cardio center, the list continues. Markedly absent, is any treatment center for LC. Their Websites LC care which consists of a Committee staffed by various specialist who then channel LC patients to other specials (ENT, Pulmonary, Neuro). But no focus on LC. Just treatment for each symptom. Florida and Alabama are blessed.

While Houston does have clinics, the overall landscape for long COVID care in Texas has been affected by a mix of political surrounding covid, logistical, and funding factors:
In summary, Houston does have dedicated long COVID clinics, but they are operating within a challenging environment of reduced funding, high demand, and a political climate that has made COVID-related, state-funded healthcare initiatives difficult. This narrows the number of clinics available.

Here is a list provided by Ai google of long covid clinics in the area which might be helpful:
Long COVID Care Providers in Houston:
Baylor Medicine Post-COVID Care Clinic: Located at 7200 Cambridge St, this clinic provides multidisciplinary care for "long-haulers".

Houston Methodist COVID-19 Recovery Clinic: A team focused on post-COVID syndrome, located in the Texas Medical Center.

UTMB Health Post COVID Clinic: Offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary care with telehealth options.

TIRR Memorial Hermann: Specializes in rehabilitation for patients with persistent physical complications.

Houston VA Long COVID Clinic: Provides specialized care for veterans, including access to neurology, cardiology, and pulmonology.

Private/Specialized Clinics: Institutions like the Breathing Center of Houston and private providers in Katy also address long-term symptoms

You've described as the "new' model for treating Long COVID because it affects so many bodily functions.

When I was at Mayo for Long COVID, I saw an internal med doc, then cardiology, sleep medicine, and an internist who specialized in Long COVID. They ran multiple tests to find out how the virus has affected me and they have a lot of support after this "it takes a village" for managing the illness. There was communication between them all, which is a better approach than looking for one doc with the expertise of all specialties involved.
