Try coping with 6 autoimmune illnesses while maintaining balance with bipolar disorder! Ha! It's always something with joint pain, back pain, surgeries, etc. but I always say I'm just glad it doesn't all hit me at once! I can deal with the daily stuff. I had autoimmune illness for 6 years before I had trouble with what turned out to be bipolar. I think someday they'll find there is a connection between inflammation and the brain. I've known several other women who had the same experience.
I hope you can get the pain in your thumbs under control. I have hypermobile Ehlers Danlos with my thumbs. The ligaments were stretched out so badly I had pain and weakness. Now I have pins in my left thumb joint and a screw in my right thumb joint. Since these surgeries I have strong hands for the first time.
Thinking of you with the bp!
